I started to make the film when the number of tibetans who set themselves on fire was 39. at the moment I exported the finished video, it was exactly 100. the project is based on a set of stamps I designed to honor the tibetan martyrs. there will be more in this seriy, include posters, installations. in the film, I tried to get 2 points across. 1 is that it is not the number that matters, each individual case is a tragety. 2 is that to find out why people choose to go through tremedous anony to take their own life, it might be a good idea to listen to what they said at the very last moment.
